1. Information We Collect

We collect only the information reasonably necessary to operate a competitive gaming community. This includes:

• Account information. When you register on our website, we collect your Minecraft in-game name (IGN), your Discord username, and a password. Passwords are cryptographically hashed using the industry-standard bcrypt algorithm before storage; we never store or have access to your password in plain text.
• Gameplay data. Match results, ELO rating, rank, seasonal and lifetime statistics (including wins, losses, kills, deaths, and bed breaks), queue activity, and moderation history associated with your account.
• Store and transaction data. Token balances, orders placed through the store, order identifiers, and order history. We do not collect or store payment card details; token purchases are arranged through our Discord ticket system.
• Technical data. IP addresses and standard connection logs generated when you connect to the Minecraft server. This data is used solely for security, moderation, and enforcement purposes (including ban evasion prevention).
• Discord data.Your Discord user ID and content you post within our community server. Your use of Discord itself is governed by Discord's own privacy policy, over which we have no control.

2. How We Use Your Information

We process the information described above for the following purposes:

• To provide, operate, and maintain the Services, including matchmaking, rankings, leaderboards, and seasonal statistics;
• To process store orders and deliver purchased items and perks;
• To enforce our Server Rules and Terms of Service, including the investigation of cheating, ban evasion, and other misconduct;
• To display public competitive information such as leaderboards, match recaps, and player statistics pages;
• To respond to support requests and communicate with you regarding your account, orders, or moderation actions; and
• To protect the security, integrity, and fairness of the Services and our community.

We do not use your information for advertising, profiling, or automated decision-making that produces legal effects concerning you.

3. Cookies & Local Storage

Our website does not use advertising or third-party tracking cookies. We use your browser's local storage solely to keep you signed in to your website account between visits. You may clear this data at any time through your browser settings; doing so will sign you out of the website.

4. Information That Is Publicly Visible

VeltrixMC is a competitive ranked community, and certain gameplay information is public by design. Your IGN, rank, ELO rating, match history, and gameplay statistics are publicly visible on our website and within our Discord community. The following are never made public: your password (which we cannot access in any form), your IP address, your order details, and any private correspondence with our staff.

5. Disclosure of Information

We do not sell, rent, lease, or trade your personal information to any third party. We disclose information only in the following limited circumstances:

• Staff team. To authorized members of our staff team, strictly for moderation, support, and order-fulfilment purposes, and subject to internal confidentiality expectations.
• Service providers. To infrastructure providers that host our game server, database, and website. These providers process data on our behalf and are not permitted to use it for their own purposes.
• Legal requirements. Where disclosure is required by applicable law, regulation, or valid legal process, or where reasonably necessary to protect the rights, safety, or property of VeltrixMC, our players, or the public.

6. Data Security

We implement reasonable technical and organizational measures designed to protect your information against unauthorized access, alteration, disclosure, or destruction. These measures include bcrypt password hashing, restricted database access limited to authorized administrators, and the principle of least privilege for staff access. However, no method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account password.

7. Data Retention

We retain personal information only for as long as necessary to fulfil the purposes described in this Policy. Gameplay statistics and match records are retained across seasons to maintain the historical integrity of the competitive ladder. Moderation and enforcement records (including associated technical data) are retained for as long as necessary to enforce our rules, including the prevention of ban evasion. Account information is retained until your account is deleted.

8. Your Rights & Choices

Depending on your jurisdiction, you may have rights to access, correct, or request deletion of your personal information. You may exercise these rights by opening a ticket in our Discord server. We will respond to verified requests within a reasonable timeframe. Please note that we may retain certain information where required for legitimate purposes, such as enforcement records necessary to prevent ban evasion, and that anonymized or aggregated match data may be retained to preserve the integrity of historical leaderboards.

9. Children's Privacy

The Services are intended for individuals who meet the minimum age requirements of both Minecraft and Discord in their country of residence. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children below the applicable minimum age. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information in violation of this Policy, please contact us and we will take appropriate steps to remove the information.

10. Third-Party Services

The Services interoperate with third-party platforms — including Minecraft (Mojang/Microsoft) and Discord — that maintain their own privacy policies. We encourage you to review those policies, as this Privacy Policy does not apply to data collected directly by third parties.

11. Changes to This Policy

We may revise this Privacy Policy from time to time to reflect changes in our practices or applicable law. The "Last updated" date at the top of this page indicates when this Policy was most recently revised. Material changes will be announced through our Discord community. Your continued use of the Services after any revision constitutes acceptance of the updated Policy.
